Remnants of the deafening noise

Early morning tucked away by city sweepers

Yawning clean streets again.

Remnants of indiscriminate spending

Wiped away by plastic money

Nil balance reflecting again.

Remnants of overloading n gorging

Exorcised in the local gym

Bulging bodies gleaming again.

Remnants of glittering lights

Dealt by acute power cuts

Perspiring fuming humans again.

Remnants of inscrutable gifting

Tackled by choking closets n attics

Receiving hands outstretched again.

Remnants of overflowing visitors

Manouvered by stressed demeanors

Fake facades on again.

Remnants of kids yearnings

Mollycoddled by overworking parents

Paving for tantrums again.

Remnants of drunk driving

Erased by excess bribes

Bureaucracy striking again.

Remnants of gambling dos

Manifesting losses n grievances

Bankruptcy breeding again.

Remnants of pious rituals

Targeted by religious jargons

Myths n mystics on the prowl again.

Remnants of overboard indulgences

dealt by exhausted community resources

Avaricious humanity ready to pounce again.

Remanats of festive extremes

Handled by frayed nerves n exhaustion

Exploding emotions again.

Remnants of glam n sham

Tackled by economic overdrive

Sensex plummeting again.

Remnants of ungiving callousness

Dealt by unfortunate hearts

Hopeful pleading eyes again.

Ugly remnants of the Festival of Lights

Stymied by intrinsic awareness n compassion

Hope for joyous peaceful India Shining Again.

BAGEL TRAIL

Woke up in the morning,craving for freshly baked bagels and expressed to my best pal that we need to indulge in a bagel breakfast.She complied n we set off.I was about to open the car door assuming we were driving to the place when my freind announced that we would be walking to it to get a bit of exercise.Imagining that the place would be just round the corner i walked along with a big anticipatory smile on my face only to get it wiped off as my pal kept walking along n finally said that it would take an hour to reach Bagel Hole n boop !my spirits dropped,only to be revved up cos before my eyes picturesque paths unfolded, the weeping willows the maples the firs, the pine tress(those that remind me of christmas) and varied other flora n fauna,freshly bloomed multitude of colorful exotic flowers greeted us,i got drenched in unpolluted cascades of green interspered by a plethora of differnt kinds of homes like the cape cords, renovated barns,the colonials ,ranches other contemprary homes
